The Short Version

Nature already knows how to clean water

Every waterway on earth has bacteria that break down organic contaminants. The problem isn't biology - it's concentration. When pollution overwhelms the natural microbial population, the system collapses. Dissolved oxygen drops. Fish die. Algae takes over. The water turns.

SEBS works by reinforcing what nature already does. It introduces massive concentrations of specifically selected, laboratory-grown bacteria directly to the contamination site. These aren't generic probiotics. Each formulation is custom-blended from a library of 30-40+ non-pathogenic bacterial strains - primarily Bacillus and Pseudomonas species - selected to target the specific contaminants in your water or soil.

The result: contaminants are broken down into carbon dioxide, water, nitrogen gas, and biomass. No chemical residue. No secondary pollution. No new problems.

Why microencapsulation
changes everything

Most biological products lose potency between the lab and the field. SEBS doesn't. Every bacterial cell is individually sealed in a protective barrier, held in suspended animation until it reaches the contamination site.

Laboratory Culture

Bacteria grown in certified conditions. Specific strains selected from the library to match your target contaminants.

Microencapsulation

Each cell sealed in a protective barrier. Dormant but alive. Minimum one year shelf life. No potency loss in transport.

Activation

Proprietary activator (folic acid, proteins, micronutrients) dissolves encapsulation and triggers plasmid DNA. Bacteria “seek and follow” contamination.

Bioremediation

Bacteria double every 20–30 minutes. Produce targeted enzymes. Break down contaminants until the food source is consumed.

SEBS formulations contain aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria - they work in oxygen-rich surface water, oxygen-depleted sludge, and everything between.

Aerobic Pathway

With oxygen

Aerobic bacteria consume organic pollutants as a food source. Oxygenase enzymes introduce oxygen atoms directly into hydrocarbon molecules, breaking their chemical bonds.

Organic contaminants + O₂ → CO₂ + H₂O + biomass

Primary mechanism for BOD reduction, fecal coliform destruction, and hydrocarbon breakdown in surface water and aerated zones.

Anaerobic Pathway

Without oxygen

Anaerobic bacteria operate in oxygen-depleted zones. Sulphate-reducing bacteria use alternative electron acceptors to catalyse organic waste breakdown.

Organic contaminants → CH₄ + CO₂ + N₂ + byproducts

Handles sludge reduction - liquefying compacted solids and degrading over 90% of organic matter in settled layers and deep pond zones.

Why SEBS outperforms powder enzymes

Setting Expectations

What SEBS does not do

We'd rather lose a sale than overpromise. Being upfront about limitations is how we build trust with operators who have been burned before.

Not overnight. Expect visible results within days, but full treatment runs 5-6 weeks depending on contamination levels.

Not for heavy metals. SEBS targets organic contaminants. Heavy metal contamination needs different approaches.

Not a substitute for source management. If contamination keeps flowing, biology alone can't keep up.

Results vary by site. Temperature, pH, existing microbes all affect performance. That's why every formulation is customised.
